Turncoat Explores Democratic Congressional Nomination
Catherine Miranda, a supporter of Republican Doug Ducey, is discussing a run for Congress in the 1st District as a Democrat.
Miranda supported the Republican governor in the 2014 election and as such, should own up to all the devastation that crazed Republicans have visited on our schools and colleges.
In an Arizona Capitol Times article in 2014, she wrote:
"For the first time in my life, I am supporting a Republican candidate for governor. I am proud to endorse Doug Ducey. We can no longer afford to compromise by electing career political insiders. As a native Arizonan and a sitting state legislator, I am faced with the consequences of the current economic climate every day. Our schools are underperforming, our businesses have been slow to recover and state revenues are falling short of projections. Doug Ducey is the only candidate I trust to improve Arizona because he has an honest, straightforward approach."
The congressional seat opened up when Ann Kirkpatrick announced she was running for the U.S. Senate.
News reports have said that Miranda, from south Phoenix, is considering a run for the 1st Congressional District Democratic nomination even though she does not live in the district.
With no shortage of wacko Republicans in the district, it would seem unnecessary to import them from other districts.
